The first trial run of the Vande Bharat Express train was conducted recently from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur. The first stop was at Kollam, followed by Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod. It is common for the majority of Vande Bharat trains to travel at an average speed ranging between 75 to 85 km per hour.Earlier, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that the Vande Bharat train would help to increase the pace of development in Kerala.
