Papa Kelce vs. Twitter: Jason and Travis’ dad slams ‘Elon Musk’s troll army’ over undeserved ban

Ed “Papa” Kelce, the outspoken father of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, is firing shots at none other than Elon Musk after being permanently banned from Musk’s social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter).

The elder Kelce, who is well-known for defending his sons, Travis and Jason, took to Facebook to vent his frustrations over the weekend, claiming that the ban came out of nowhere and accusing X of being less than secure.

Kelce’s social media saga began after sharing a Newsmax story highlighting a report from The Times in London, which alleged that arms dealers in Yemen were openly selling weapons, including assault rifles and grenade launchers, on X. What infuriated him even more? Some of these dealers allegedly had blue check marks of verification.

Arms dealers are free to peddle their wares on X, but I’m banned for life and they won’t say why, just a generic ‘Terms Of Service’ violation,” Kelce wrote in a fiery Facebook post. He suggested that his ban might have resulted from something he didn’t even post, implying that his account could have been hacked.

Users side with Kelce

Papa Kelce’sFacebook followers quickly rallied behind him, condemning X as a “cesspool” under Musk’s ownership. One user even commented, “X (stinks) since Elon took over.”

Kelce wasn’t done there. He went on to take more jabs at Musk in subsequent posts, sharing a story about starring in a commercial for Garage Beer with his son Jason, who recently retired from the Philadelphia Eagles. “This was fun,” Kelce wrote.

“I did notice that the vid was posted to X. Apparently, I can be in a video on X even though Elon and his troll army have banned me from following or commenting,” Kelce stated.

Clarifying his ban, Kelce admitted that he was rarely active on X but did use it between September and February, mostly to read posts. He speculated that his account may have been hacked, as he couldn’t recall posting anything that would violate the platform’s rules.

Papa Kelce is a Facebook guy

Amid the drama, Kelce still has his Facebook account, where he keeps tabs on the rumors swirling around his sons and Travis’ high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. According to Travis, his dad is obsessed with tracking the wildest rumors on Facebook.

“Dad, get the (bleep) off Facebook,” Travis said during a June interview, recounting how his father would often text him, alarmed by outlandish headlines.

For now, Papa Kelce remains banned from X, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be backing down from his feud with Elon Musk anytime soon.
