But this year, the tournament nearly had an unintended consequence and scheduling conflict with one of the most notorious music artists in the industry right now: Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny concert in Philly rescheduled after Sixers lose

Bad Bunny is currently in the midst of his Most Wanted Tour, with his next stop coming in Philadelphia on April 19. The Philadelphia 76ers would have had to play at the Wells Fargo Center that same night if they lost to the Miami Heat.

That’s because the Sixers losing in the opening game of the Play-In would have forced them to play another game, which they would have had to host at their own stadium.

According to Bad Bunny’s PR team, the concert would have been rescheduled for Thursday, April 18, one day before originally planned. Fans had already made plans and scheduled way ahead for this concert, so it would have put them in a tough position.

Thankfully, Joel Embiid came through for all of Philly on Wednesday night.
