Erin Andrews experienced a moment of terror live on FOX when her one-year-old son had a health problem

Erin Andrews, one of the most recognizable faces in sports broadcasting, is proving that balancing a high-profile career and motherhood is no small feat.

The veteran Fox sportscaster, known for her insightful sideline reporting, recently shared a candid story on the Calm Down podcast, which she co-hosts with her close friend and fellow Fox colleague, Charissa Thompson.

During an NFL Week 15 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Andrews found herself multitasking on a whole new level.

While standing on the sidelines interviewing the Eagles’ offensive line, she received an urgent update about her one-year-old son, Jack. Her husband, Jarret Stoll, and their nanny alerted her to a worsening rash that had spread across Jack’s body.

“The rash got pretty much all over his front and backside, and it’s very painful,” Andrews shared on the podcast. “I texted our doctor, who we love, and I was like, ‘Hey, Jarret’s home, but I’m on the field right now. Can you help me out? Can we get something prescribed?'”

Fortunately, the timing worked in her favor. Andrews was on a break from her sideline duties and could focus briefly on the medical emergency. She coordinated with her doctor, husband, and nanny through a group text to address the issue.

“I’m doing my thing. I’m standing with the Eagles PR. I’m standing with the offensive line. We’re in a break. I’m good. My sideline’s taken care of,” Andrews recounted.

A hilarious mishap

Things took a humorous turn when Andrews opened her phone to check on the situation. The doctor had requested photos of the rash to better assess Jack’s condition. Andrews, multitasking and distracted, didn’t realize the pictures had been sent.

“I open up my phone. I’m like, ‘Whoa.’ We get frontal and back all in one with the rash, and I’m looking around to see if anyone saw it. Like, inappropriate on my phone. Like, it wasn’t, but it’s literally them holding back. Full view,” she joked.

While Andrews laughed off the incident during the podcast, she shared that her initial reaction was embarrassment, fearing her colleagues might misinterpret the images.

“Apologies to anyone who might have seen that,” she captioned a clip of the story posted to her social media.
