Patrick Mahomes‘ victory over the Houston Texans has been overshadowed by the news the Kansas City Chiefs‘ cheerleader will be going to the Pro Bowl to represent the franchise in February 2025.
The dancer was honored by the team at the Arrowhead Stadium as they announced the news and her girls celebrated enthusiastically with her, as she becomes named a Pro Bowl Cheerleader.
“Beyond thrilled for our girl Katie,” the Chiefs Cheerleaders posted to Instagram ahead of the clash with the Texans on December 21, in a cute video that earned over 42000 likes before a later post picked up 2300 more.

Chiefs have a great day in Week 16
The announcement was capped off by another Chiefs‘ victory as they beat their rivals from the Lone Star State 27-19 at the Arrowhead Stadium in Week 16, to improve their record to 14-1 for the season.
Mahomes passed for 260 yards and a touchdown from 41 attempts on the night, whilst their 2024 rookie wide receiver, Xavier Worthy, impressed with 65 yards and a touchdown from seven receptions.
And the good news only continued to flow for Andy Reid‘s team as they managed to bring Hollywood Brown onto the field too, after he spent all of the season to date out injured with a shoulder issue.
He made 45 yards from five receptions in his debut in Chiefs uniform and will offer another weapon for Mahomes ahead of the NFL Playoffs, meaning he can now target DeAndre Hopkins, Brown and Travis Kelce.
