Canelo Alvarez has been and still is the face of boxing, whether many want to believe it or not. The Mexican superstar is the biggest draw, with fighters consistently lining up to secure a ‘payday‘ whenever he fights.
A boxer of his caliber needs big stages for his events. In recent times, it has been the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas. Three of Canelo’s last four fights have been held there.
Could we see Canelo fight at Raiders stadium?
Alvarez seems comfortable in Vegas, which is why Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis apparently wants to bring Canelo to his stadium for a can’t-miss boxing event.
An industry official told Boxing Scene that Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has expressed interest in hosting an Alvarez fight at Allegiant Stadium.

The state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium can expand to hold over 70,000 spectators. Having opened in 2020, the massive stadium features incredible technology and is the second-most expensive stadium in the world.
The stadium hosted Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in February. Canelo has fought at several big stadiums in the past, including AT&T Stadium and Hard Rock Stadium. So this wouldn’t be anything new to him.
It would certainly make for a spectacle, with boxing fans hoping David Benavidez will be the opponent for that one.
