Bronny James continues to make headlines with his impressive performances whilst on loan from the Los Angeles Lakers as the 20-year-old son of LeBron even manages to catch the eye of Travis Kelce‘s ex.
Selected as the Lakers‘ second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Bronny struggled to transition from USC Trojans to the professional scene and was subsequently sent to their G League affiliate to hone his craft.
And now it seems the guard is finally figuring out the ropes after averaging 20.7 points-per-game over his last three appearance and is earning some much-deserved praise, including from Kayla Nicole.
“Yall ain’t talkin bout nothing,” Nicole posted to Instagram with Bronny‘s stat lines, as she clearly buys into the hype surrounding the prospect, who already made LA $50 million in jersey sales.
It’s the second-time in a few days that the ex-partner of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ tight end has posted about Bronny after Nicole wrote, “LET HIM COOK,” after he posted 30 points on Thursday, December 19.
Nicole, who works as a sports journalist, dated Kelce from 2017-2022 in an on-and-off relationship which ended with claims from insiders on the grounds the football player was too stingy with his cash, although this was later denied by the pair.
The 34-year-old media reporter has not dated anyone since their split, at least not in the public eye, whilst the 35-year-old triple Super Bowl champion has been dating Taylor Swift since around August 2023.
Bronny James shrugs off critics
As the son of one of the greatest basketball players of all-time, there has always been a lot of scrutiny and pressure on Bronny James and that only continued to build to a crescendo when he entered the NBA, as haters decried him as a beneficiary of nepotism.
Nonetheless, the 20-year-old revealed he is mentally strong enough to stay resilient, especially after fighting back from cardiac arrest when he was competing with the USC Trojans in the NCAA.
“I’ve become resilient over these past couple of years,” Bronny said reporters. “Fighting through injuries, mental illness, stuff like that.
“Just, you know, coming in and working every day and staying the course. Trying to get past that [heart attack], it’s difficult. But I’m trying to work at it every day.”
