The Dallas Cowboys may be out of playoff contention, but wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is proving he’s not playing for the standings.
During Sunday night’s 26-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lamb showcased incredible toughness, battling through an AC joint sprain in his shoulder to deliver another stellar performance.
CeeDee Lamb’s grit shines in SNF win
Lamb, who has been nursing the injury since Week 9, caught seven passes for 105 yards, becoming the first player in Cowboys history with consecutive 100-yard first halves.
He also tied Michael Irving with the most consecutive 1,000 yard seasons in Cowboys history (4).

Lamb’s highlight of the night came on a 52-yard catch-and-run, which ended with him landing hard on his injured shoulder.
Initially listed as questionable to return, Lamb was back on the field within minutes.
“I really scored,”Lamb joked postgame about a near-touchdown catch.
“But yeah, my shoulder is out of whack. Bro, I’m not even going to lie to you. I’m just out there battling and doing what I do. Yeah bro, it’s not fun.”
Lamb playing for pride and love of the game
Despite the Cowboys’ elimination earlier in the day, Lamb emphasized his love for the game and commitment to his teammates as reasons for continuing to play.
“I love this game that much. I’m literally willing to put my body out there on the line for my guys,”Lamb said.
“Not so much to show how tough I am, but it shows. It’s the ground that’s beating me up, bro. I can’t avoid it.”
The All-Pro receiver’s grit hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Head coach Mike McCarthy praised Lamb’s resilience, calling him “an example” for the team.
Quarterback Cooper Rush added, “He’s a warrior. That guy is as tough as they come.”
Lamb’s numbers speak for themselves.
With 101 receptions and 1,194 receiving yards this season, he continues to be a cornerstone for Dallas, even as the team’s season winds down.
“When I’m out there, I’m playing,”Lamb said.
“I’m hurting bad, but I’m trying to win.”
