It seems Grand Theft Auto VI might not hit stores until 2026 due to production delays. Rockstar Games, the company behind the game, has asked its remote workers to return to the office to keep things on track. Originally set for early 2025, the release may now be pushed to late 2025 or even 2026.
Last month, Bloomberg reported that Rockstar wanted employees back in the office full-time starting in April, citing security and quality concerns. Sources suggest GTA VI’s development is behind schedule, prompting the office return.
A trailer released in December revealed the game will be set in Vice City with two main characters, including a female protagonist, a first for the series.
Initially, GTA VI will be exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with no PC release planned yet. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check it out below.
