Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff married Sports Illustrated model Christen Harper during the offseason, and Harper has quickly embraced her new connection to Detroit and Michigan.
She’s shared her enthusiasm for the region on social media and has spoken openly about her future plans, charity work and life with Goff.
Appearing on The Morning After with Kelly Stafford & Frank podcast in September, Harper highlighted her involvement with Forgotten Harvest, a nonprofit organization that provides fresh surplus food to families in need. #
The organization distributes over 144,000 pounds of food daily to local charities, and Harper expressed her commitment to supporting causes that make a tangible difference.
“I feel like the reach they’re doing, they’re touching so many people’s lives,” she noted.
“So, for me, trying to get more and more involved with them, I try to go almost on a weekly basis.”
Planning to start a family
She also touched on her and Goff‘s plans to start a family in the coming years.
“I feel like I also need to preface this with, I am privileged to have the time to do this. So many people don’t,” she said.
“So, I don’t want people to feel bad for not being able to. I am so lucky that I have this time. I’m eventually going have kids running around and stuff. I might not have the time to do this, and then maybe I’ll need to support other ways. But, I don’t want people to feel bad, because I have a lot of time on my hands to do this.”
Harper‘s presence at Lions games has become a familiar sight and she regularly supports Goff from the stands.
On November 17, she shared a pre-game look on Instagram before attending the Lions‘ matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Whether her encouragement played a role or not, the Lions delivered a commanding 52-6 victory that day.
