Mike Conley’s home burglarized while he was at Minnesota Vikings vs San Francisco 49ers

NBA star Mike Conley‘s home was burglarized while he was attending the Minnesota Vikings’ Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Conley, a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, was at U.S. Bank Stadium participating in pregame activities, hyping up over 66,000 fans. However, during the event, his home in Medina, Minnesota, several miles away, was targeted by thieves.

The burglary occurred on the afternoon of September 15, according to reports from The Minnesota Star Tribune. Conley‘s residence was one of three homes in the area broken into that day. All of the homes were unoccupied at the time of the break-ins.

Medina Police Chief Jason Nelson indicated that at least two suspects are believed to be responsible, with the burglars making off with an unknown amount of jewelry from each property.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that all the residences were unoccupied at the time for the burglaries,” police said. “Access is believed to be gained by breaking out windows on the rear of the residences. In all three burglaries there was jewelry taken from the master bedroom areas.”

Investigators suggest the burglars may have scoped out the homes in advance, identifying patterns in the residents’ routines before striking.

The thieves are thought to have gained entry by breaking ground-floor windows at the rear of the properties. Police reported that the criminals spent roughly five minutes inside each home, focusing on primary bedrooms where valuables were stored.

Surveillance footage captured a vehicle fleeing Conley‘s home and authorities are now looking into whether the car is connected to the suspects. As of Thursday, no arrests had been made in the case.

Just weeks before the incident, Conley had participated in another local sporting event, throwing the ceremonial first pitch at a Minnesota Twins game in downtown Minneapolis.
