It all started with a friendly conversation, and it ended with an awkward question that turned out to be part of an interview. Dan Orlovsky made an appearance in the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN and YouTube on Tuesday and after talking football, things quickly shifted.

The main topic was the Monday Night Football game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles and then they both talked about the fact that Bryce Young got benched after two bad performances in Carolina with the Panthers and of course Derek Carr was part of this as he has played exactly the opposite than the second year player with the New Orleans Saints.

Then, McAfee hit Orlovsky with a question of another topic out of nowhere. “Did ESPN tell you to delete that tweet or no? I just need to know,” Pat asked and it caught Dan off guard. This was in reference to a tweet that Orlovsky posted during the Paris Olympics.

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif beat Angela Carini after it came out that Khelif had ben barred from a previous tournament after Russian-led IBA claimed that a test revealed she had XY chromosomes.

Orlovsky tweeted “Protect our daughters” and then deleted it. After a laugh, Orlovsky answered the question by saying “ESPN did not, nor did anyone associated with ESPN tell me to delete that tweet.”

McAfee said he understood why the tweet was deleted and that he believes that Dan is a “good dude,” however Dan did make a face of uncomfortableness towards the situation. In a previous interview with Barrett Media, Dan talked about how he understood that a social media outlet of an employee of a big company comes with great responsibility, and he does not want to get in trouble.
