The biggest storyline to come out of this past week’s NBA Draft was Bronny James being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. Bronny will join forces with his father, LeBron James, as the two are hoping to share the final couple of seasons that the legendary NBA player has left in the tank.
Of course, the move was covered by every single sports media outlet. So, naturally, it drew a ton of attention all around the industry. It even made its way to Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes retweeted a post about LeBron and Bronny James
Mahomes is rather active on Twitter, with most of his reposts being about the Kansas City Royals. But on Friday, he sparked intrigue by retweeting a Bleacher Report post about LeBron and Bronny.
There has been a lot of talk about whether the Lakers drafting Bronny constituted nepotism. After all, Bronny did not exactly have an illustrious sole season at USC. But by the looks of it, Mahomes doesn’t seem to care one bit.
After all, sports are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, filled with moments that will be embedded in fans’ minds for the rest of their lives. A father, arguably the best basketball player ever, and son sharing the court should be applauded, not frowned upon.
