Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been making the most of their well-deserved break. After months of long-distance challenges due to their hectic schedules, the duo recently reunited for some much-needed quality time together in New York City. From exotic meals to thrilling NBA games, their time together has been nothing short of heartwarming.
On January 10, Jonathan Owens shared glimpses of the couple’s date night at Madison Square Garden, where they enjoyed an exhilarating game between the New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Owens captioned their photo together as “Date Night,” highlighting the couple’s stylish evening out.
Exploring New York together
Simone Biles, ever active on social media, documented the couple’s adventures in New York, starting with a cozy plane ride where she enjoyed a cocktail. Their itinerary included a sumptuous dinner, a late-night ramen date, brunch, and even some shopping at an undisclosed store. The couple also shared playful moments in their luxurious suite, with Biles ensuring her followers got a peek into their trip.
The time off is particularly special for Biles and Owens, who have been navigating the challenges of a long-distance marriage since tying the knot on April 22, 2023.
With Biles preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Owens committed to his NFL duties with the Green Bay Packers, their schedules often kept them apart. Despite the distance, they prioritized meeting whenever possible, with Biles attending Owens’ games and Owens supporting Biles during her commitments.
Post-Olympics, Biles embarked on the Gold Over America Tour, leaving the couple with little time to relax together. However, the duo managed to spend their 2024 Christmas alone, a decision Biles described as a highlight of their time as newlyweds.
“Honestly, since my husband and I got married, we’ve been doing long-distance. After the Olympics and my tour, I would say the highlight has been spending quality time with him for the first time in the longest time since we’ve been married,” Biles shared in an interview with E! News.
