Sunday, February 9 is the date set for one of the most anticipated events of the year, Super Bowl LIX, which will be played on the turf of the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

In this event, not only will the champions of the National and American conferences compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, but it is also the ideal showcase for different companies to get closer to their consumers with spectacular advertisements.

As time went on, Super Bowl advertisers turned the television broadcast into a marketing catwalk, and a wide range of advertisers are asking for a 30-second spot, from automakers and fashion companies to television studios and restaurant chains.

On January 15, 1967, the first Super Bowl was held, which was broadcast simultaneously by NBC and CBS, who charged their advertisers for one minute of airtime between $37,500 (NBC) and $42,500 (CBS). The ads for that edition were seen by more than 24 million viewers.

For next February’s event, FOX will charge $7 million for a 30-second spot, according to trade magazine AdAge.
