Legendary quarterback Tom Brady, seven-time Super Bowl champion, was welcomed this Tuesday in Atlanta by the 32 NFL owners as a minority shareholder of the Las Vegas Raiders, whose majority owner is Mark Davis.
The Raiders, one of the most traditional franchises in the NFL, are valued at $6.7 billion and Brady is considered the best player in the history of the game, so this will be a match made in heaven.
However, after this happened, Tom needs to understand that things will never be the same and his job at FOX will be somewhat affected by the approval, as the list of “don’ts” will be long
The restrictions for Tom Brady
After Tom Brady and his partner Tom Wagner acquired 10 percent of the Raiders’ share, The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal caller will have a five percent stake. But also some restrictions.
He will not be permitted to be in another team’s facility, he won’t be permitted to witness practice, he will no be permitted to attend broadcast production meetings, either in person or virtually, he will be prohibited from publicly criticized game officials and other club, he will be subject to the NFL’s gambling policy and to the league’s anti-tampering policy.
This will be affecting his job as a color commentator in terms of preparation directly with the teams involved in the games he is part of, but of course his professionalism will have to come out as he will have to study on many subjects on his own.
