Travis Kelce’s NFL legacy overshadowed by his relationship with Taylor Swift on TV show

We’ve reached the halfway point of the NFL season, and the Kansas City Chiefs (8-0) are the only undefeated team in the league. For Patrick Mahomes, it’s the best start in his eight years in the league, and for the franchise, it’s the third time in history they’ve gotten off to such a start. The previous two times (2003 and 2013), they went 9-0 before losing in their 10th game. The Chiefs‘ quest for a third consecutive title is well underway as they aim to become the first franchise to achieve a three-peat.

Travis Kelce Mentioned on a TV Show

But as the Chiefs and their players continue their quest for NFL immortality, their fame continues to grow – especially for Travis Kelce, who has gained even more celebrity status as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend. Given Swift’s massive popularity, it’s no surprise; after all, she’s wrapping up her record-breaking “Eras Tour,” which grossed over $1 billion. Recently, however, Kelce became the butt of a joke on the popular game show Jeopardy!

On the most recent episode, one of the questions was, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” hosted by this guy who’s maybe more famous as a boyfriend than a 3-time Super Bowl champion. And without hesitation, the contestant answered correctly: “Travis Kelce.”

Kelce’s Rising Stardom with Taylor Swift

Although Kelce was already one of the most popular figures in the NFL, known for his high level of play as one of the best players in the league, there is no doubt that being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend has elevated him to another level of superstardom, as evidenced by questions and cameos like this, I have no doubt that he may become an actor after his NFL Hall of Fame career.

Over the last two games, Kelce has caught 24 passes for 190 yards, including a career-high 14 receptions in his best game of the season, and for the first time this season, he surpassed 100 yards receiving. The next challenge for the Chiefs and Travis will be the Denver Broncos. It’s a divisional matchup that will still be tough, even though Mahomes has a 12-1 career record against them.

After that, the Chiefs face perhaps their toughest remaining game: a road game against the Buffalo Bills. If the Chiefs beat the Broncos, they’ll be 9-0, matching the best start in franchise history. If they then defeat the Bills, they’ll set a new record for the best start in franchise history and have a chance to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls
