Yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo surprised the entire Internet community by announcing that the next guest for his YouTube channel would be none other than MrBeast, the most subscribed YouTuber on the platform and arguably the most successful and well-known content creator in the world.
The Portuguese star commented that this collaboration would break the Internet, and the truth is that it is having an impressive impact, as expected, and already has about three million views since its premiere just an hour ago.
Will Cristiano Ronaldo play with his son?
During much of the interview, which, like all those given by the Portuguese star, took place in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, Cristiano took the opportunity to get to know his guest MrBeast a little better. “What did you feel when I started the channel?” or “Do you think I will surpass you?” were some of the first questions that the footballer threw at the content creator, who replied with a laugh that no, although it all depended a little on where Cristiano himself was heading, as we already know the spectacular reach he has.
After talking at length about all the crazy things MrBeast has done, such as spending seven days locked in a coffin underground, another seven days on a desert island, a whole week locked in a soundproof room without human contact and other delusions of the American, the conversation turned to the milestone that LeBron James has achieved in the NBA by playing a few minutes with his son on the court. Of course, the content creator, a self-confessed fan of basketball and the NBA, went straight to ask the Portuguese if he could transfer this to the world of soccer at some point.
Far from denying the possibility, Cristiano Ronaldo commented that it is something that could happen, and that it all depended largely on how his legs would respond: “Maybe, we’ll see… he’s fourteen years old now… Let’s see, let’s see how my legs go,” replied the top scorer in the history of football, who would surely continue playing for ten more years if his body would allow it.
This fact, as has happened in the NBA with LeBron James and ‘Bronny’, would be completely historic, as no father and son duo have ever been together on the pitch. Eidor Gudjohnsen, a former Chelsea and Barcelona footballer among others, came the closest, and was about to make history with his father, although they both also signed a unique event in football by entering the field the son by the father in an international friendly with the Icelandic national team.
