Shaquille O’Neal is firmly denying that he’s the man featured in a viral photo circulating online, and he’s using humor to do it. In response to rumors sparked by the image, O’Neal posted a playful video on Instagram, lip-syncing to Shaggy’s 2000 hit song, “It Wasn’t Me,” to dismiss the claims.

The speculation began after a woman named Maria Ozuna Teachey shared an explicit, now-deleted photo featuring a very tall man whose face wasn’t visible.

Many on social media quickly assumed the mystery figure could be the NBA legend himself. But Shaq didn’t waste time setting the record straight, commenting, “Nope not the kid,” in response to the claims.

Teachey, however, wasn’t ready to drop the issue. She posted what she says are receipts proving her connection to O’Neal, including a note from staff at Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, where Shaq performed at a club on August 17.

While the timing and location do seem to place O’Neal in the area, he continues to insist that he’s not the man in the photo.

Fans online have been quick to weigh in, with some even pointing out the man’s feet in the image as evidence, humorously comparing them to Shaq’s famously large and unique toes.

This is not the first time that Shaq has been linked to women in dating rumors, but so far none of them have been true but he has been in pictures with others that have sparked those rumors.

Despite the buzz, O’Neal has handled the situation with his trademark humor, showing he’s not letting the rumors faze him.
