Patrick Mahomes continues to pull headlines even during the NFL off-season and and it is his active support of the Dallas Mavericks that is leading to so much media attention on the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.
He was present at the American Airlines Center as the Mavericks pulled out a 3-0 lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves in their Western Conference Final.

Mahomes may be a three-time Super Bowl winner but he is a big Mavs fan. That doesn’t mean he can’t appreciate greatness from their opponents, though.
Anthony Edwards’ incredible dunk
Anthony Edwards is the shining light of the Timberwolves and he used some immense athleticism to get the better of Luka Doncic.
Anthony Edwards not only shocked the crowd but also caused Mahomes to tweet out “Craziest dunk i ever seen!” with his post showing Edwards in the air as Daniel Gafford tried to stop him.
Doncic was unable to do so and allowed Edwards to make the dunk, bringing the Wolves four points closer to their opponent even though they ultimately could not get the win and get a handle on the playoff.
Mahomes was not the only member of the Chiefs present in Dallas, as tight end Travis Kelce was sat next to him courtside, as was Mahomes’ wife Brittany.
There was an amusing moment on X from the Mavs account as they shared a video of the crowd appreciating Mahomes being in the building, and captioned it: “Our guy Pat and Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend in the house!”
