Although there were a good amount of Los Angeles Lakers fans who wanted the team to throw their first Play-In Game, LeBron James and co. ended up beating the New Orleans Pelicans and earned the No. 7 seed.
The reason some wanted the team to lose that game was because it meant they would avoid the Denver Nuggets. Many would have preferred that the Lakers played the Oklahoma City Thunder, but that won’t be the case.

This Lakers-Nuggets series will be a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. Denver swept Los Angeles and then went on to win the NBA Finals.
