Real Madrid will play the UEFA Champions League final on June 1 and will open its stadium so that its fans can watch the match against Borussia Dortmund on a giant screen, as is tradition.
This has been done since they won La Decima in 2014, their 10th Champions League. The tradition has not failed in any of the subsequent finals but this year there is a problem: Taylor Swift.
Real Madrid forced to think about Taylor Swift
This is because the American singer is going to hold two concerts at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on May 29 and 30.
Tickets are sold out for one of the most anticipated shows of the year in Madrid and for one of the most eagerly awaited dates at the new and renovated Bernabeu stadium.
But of course, it now forces a day of madness for the madridistas and the logistics they will have for that date on June 1.
On May 31, Taylor Swift’s stage will have to be dismantled. The giant screens will have to be set up so that Real Madrid fans can watch the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund at home in their stadium the following day.
With Real Madrid qualifying for the final, many fans wondered if they would be able to watch the final at home.
They will be able to, but when they enter the stadium to take their seats, they will have to thank the workers who will make it possible for the Bernabeu to go from being the home of Taylor Swift to the televisual home of the UEFA Champions League final.
