Mental Health Campaign From Bioré – Beautifaire

Bioré is the newest beauty brand to tackle mental health.

The Kao-owned skincare brand has unveiled a mental health initiative, dubbed the “Get That S–t Out” campaign. The campaign features a partnership with Mental Health First Aid, a program run by the National Council for Behavioral Health, and goals to teach students of no less than 100 colleges on mental health first aid practices.

“We found that we desired to concentrate on reducing the stigma that’s related to mental health challenges, because that could be a huge barrier as to why people don’t seek treatment,” said Leah Stone, associate director, face care at Bioré. “That stigma is something that may really influence the best way that individuals take into consideration mental health and the best way that it shows up in on a regular basis life.”

The multitiered program has several phases. In March, Bioré will unveil the campaign across social channels and include its team members’ own paths with mental health. Within the spring, college students will have the ability to register for mental health first aid training, which is able to occur within the campaign’s third phase in the autumn. Training might be held virtually, as college campus openings might be in flux. Bioré may also provide its own team with mental health first aid training.
